THE STUPID ERA
In my 65 years, I have never witnessed anything like this. Not even close. More rare than Bigfoot, or even a Toronto Maple Leafs Stanley Cup.
When Historians look back at the last few years, right up to this minute, they will label it, The Stupid Era. What?
AN ERA WHERE EVERYTHING WAS STUPID.
Humans label eras. The Middle Ages, Medieval Times, The Space Age, The Roaring 20s. There was the Industrial Revolution, the Atomic Age, the Space Age, and now…
THE STUPID ERA
Somewhere between what I would label the 1990s GATES ERA and the ELON AGE in 2024 and beyond, there are a few years where everyone seems, well, stupid. Just flat stupid. And always remember to be kind. Some stupid people are just retarded. (Language Police Alert, right there!).
I watch TV, and I just can’t believe it. You’re telling me it’s totally ok for men to be kicking the shit out of women in sports, and WIN? You’re telling me that a guy pulling out his schlong in the women’s locker room (and the gals having to undress in front of the guy with the schlong) is in any way appropriate? If so…you’re just stupid.
You’re telling me it’s ok to surrender an entire US Air Force Base in Afghanistan to our ENEMIES? Or 12-million illegal border crossers is cool? You’d disregard Energy Independence and Peace in the Middle East? You think men can have periods and babies? You think They/Them pronouns make sense? Or the President has no cognitive issues?! Hello?
Or heck, that $5.00 gas is better than $1.75 gas? Stupid. Or a Biden voter. Or both.
Welcome folks, to The Stupid Era. In my mind, it started in the last eight or ten years – a distant cultural offspring to the arguably common sense Liberals in the 60s – and is accelerating as we speak in 2024. The ballooning of Social Media reach in recent years is much responsible, of course. To me, the main Narrative Creators and Propaganda Traffickers of so much garbage are two culprits – the Legacy/Mainstream Media, and yes, Democrats! Listen to the Press Secretary sometime. It’s unbelievable.
Create your own Stupid List today. And when you see or hear something stupid, jot it down. Because as stupid and crazy as the world seems today, I believe this nonsensical era is going to come to an end. Or at least lose the wind in its gusty Woke Sails.
I have said so many times in the past few years, on radio and in print, that I believe there is a Wave of Common Sense that is coming back. An outright rejection of the Woke, Anti-America, Politically Correct oppression that has overwhelmed the majority of Americans, Canadians, and other international cousins.
People are craving Normalcy – a 1950s Handshake World – and to somehow guide our Western cultures back down to earth, in a simpler, personally connected way.
People are so tired of being monitored and “ticketed” by the Thought Police, and Language Police. Can you say Censor, Cancel, Doxx? These are the mysterious (hiding?) self-anointed gatekeepers of the Woke Generation. They wear their badges on their nasty sleeves around the clock. The Trolls, the Operatives, the Losers.
Could we ever live in an Age of Manners and Niceness?
Either way, it is my hope and prayer that The Stupid Era comes to an end – or at least fades away like Bell Bottoms – beginning November 5, 2024.
And the good news is, most people don’t have to stay stupid.
It’s time to get back to the kitchen table.
